AGENDA - 26th May, 2020

TALK 1 - 6pm - Danilo Poccia
"END TO END OBSERVABILITY for SERVERLESS APPS"

How deeply can you understand what is happening inside your application? To quickly identify and debug issues in distributed architectures, it’s critical to monitor each component, be alarmed in case of unexpected behavior, and be updated on the overall communication between modules. In this session, we show how to have the necessary instrumentation, in the configuration and in the application code, and how to use the data you collect to have a better grasp of your production environment, from low level infrastructure view to business oriented outcomes.

TALK 2 - 6.40pm - Hillel Solow, Checkpoint Software

"Modern Application Security: It Ain’t Over Till It’s Automated"

The move to modern cloud native applications has drastically changed the way applications are constructed, deployed and operated. Technologies like containers and serverless have enabled much higher velocity for application teams. In this talk we will discuss how this goodness is keeping security people up at night, and what we need to do to embrace the brave new world.

Hillel Solow is the Cloud Native Security Architect at Check Point, responsible for helping drive the Check Point strategy around securing modern cloud applications. Prior to that he was CTO at Protego Labs.
