Amazon Bedrock’s knowledge bases now support multimodal data processing, enabling AI models to retrieve, process, and generate responses using text, images, audio, and video for more accurate and contextual outputs. Traditionally, AI relied on text-based retrieval, but with foundation models, Amazon S3, and Amazon Rekognition, applications can now handle structured and unstructured data seamlessly, unlocking new possibilities in customer support, legal analysis, healthcare, manufacturing, and media.

By leveraging retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI can fetch relevant multimodal data before generating responses, ensuring higher accuracy and deeper insights. This advancement allows AI systems to understand images alongside text, process audio transcripts, and analyze video content to derive meaningful conclusions. Businesses can apply these capabilities to customer support, medical imaging, contract analysis, fraud detection, and content recommendations.

This session explores how Amazon Bedrock enhances multimodal RAG, discussing key use cases such as AI-powered assistants, document summarization, and content recommendations. A live demo will showcase setting up a multimodal Knowledge Base, ingesting text and images, and running queries using Amazon S3, Amazon Rekognition, and foundation models, providing practical insights for implementation.
