Welcome to our first meetup of 2025!

We are delighted to welcome John Ing, an early adopter of Amazon Connect, to share his experiences on this powerful platform. Our second speaker is Pradeep Rual, who will share his knowledge of AWS storage, particularly FSx.

Talk 1
Everything you wanted to know about Amazon Connect but was afraid to ask with John Ing.

John will share his story of how he came to learn about AWS & Amazon Connect and his experience of leading the first UK Bank onto the platform back in 2019. He will also talk about how the product has evolved over the past 6 years as he helped other organisations adopt Amazon Connect. Finally, John will discuss why he established the Independent User Group for Amazon Connect.

Choosing the right storage for your Applications in AWS & the relevance of FSxN with Pradeep Raul

Pradeep's talk will help you understand:

• What are the different types of storage on AWS? (Block storage / Object storage / File storage)
• In what scenarios would you use each different type of storage?
• What is FSx, and under what circumstances would you choose this for your architecture?
• What is FSx *not* suitable for?
• What are the different flavours of FSx and how do they differ?
• Under what circumstances would you choose FSx for NetApp ONTAP for your platform?
