Why is there poverty? Is it the government's responsibility to fight poverty? Why? Why not? Is inequality unfair, acceptable, good? What is freedom and why do we need it?

Politics builds on a moral foundation. We all accept some kind of morality and most people have a political opinion. But rarely do people have an opinion on morality, at least not a well thought out one. It is usually just accepted and assumed without ever questioning it.

To answer any moral question one has to first ask and answer the question of what the purpose of life is. That sets the ultimate purpose of morality, politics and any political system. Let's discuss the moral premises of the statist state, what the proper moral premises should be and whether capitalism is the solution to all of that.
