Clear Creek to Beasly Flats Kayak - Verde River

Details

>>DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGED BASED ON WATER LEVEL. <<

Explore a 10.2 mile paddle down the Verde River near camp Verde. Maybe the most popular run on the Verde. An easily accessible 10.2 mile run outside of Camp Verde, this is an easy run for any skill level of paddler. The water does move swifter in one small section depending on the time of the year and after monsoons. If there are no recent rains, then the river then proceeds to meander at a slow pace. I found this to be rated class 1 if there are no recent rains, meaning anyone any skill can do this.
SUP's are ok there are some trees and rocky bottom areas but the slow water speed should be enough for you to navigate though. There are now 2 new options to join.

Time: 10am
Location to meet: Beasley Flats
For those wanting to launch from Clear Creek, drop your boats at clear creek and then go park your car at Beasley flats. Meet in the Beasley flats parking area and we will carpool up river back to Clear Creek. I will be at Clear Creek to watch the boats and help you unload.

#1

  • Bring your own Kayak or SUP with a START POINT AT> Clear Creek. Its approx 3hr paddle to Beasley Flats.
  • DROP OFF your kayak AT Clear creek and clear the area the parking is limited.
  • GO PARK YOUR CAR AT BEASLEY FLATS>>>Drive down the road and park at Beasley flats.
  • A CARPOOL will take you UP RIVER to CLEAR CREEK.

Rentals are now only available at Beasley flats- rentals from the outrigger come with transport to Clear Creek but you will have a shorter ride because we will paddle down to the Beasley Flats State Park approx 1.5 miles further.

This is going to be a fun paddle and with the river however due to the receding water level I can not guarantee the depth. There are picnic areas at Beasley flat and pit toilets.
