New Meetup: Piestewa Peak (Squaw Peak)

From: Dylan

Announcing a new Meetup for AZ Shutterbugs - West!

What: Piestewa Peak (Squaw Peak)

When: August 24,[masked]:45 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Once again, come rain or shine, we will be heading up Squaw Peak each Sunday at or near sunset. Yes it is hot, but cooler than the rest of the city as the trail mostly heads up the east (shady) side in the hour before the sun disappears. It's a bit of a climb, but worth the effort. The view from the top gives full 360 panoramas, incredible sunsets, and plenty of city lights. One will need a snack, two liters of water, a light source for safety coming down, and of course your camera! We will be meeting anyone interested at the stated times in the first parking lot on the left as you enter the park gates. Anyone who needs more information or would like to talk with me about whether they should give it a try, please feel free to call (602)[masked] any time or ask a question here. I will check through this a couple times the day before each meetup. If you can't make it, no worries. In the interest of attempting to "get back in shape", Cody and/or I will be doing it every week unless otherwise stated. I'm looking forward to seeing you out there...

City of Phoenix site for the mountain can be found Here.
