- Corda on Azure
Presented by Juarez Barbosa Junior
With Juarez we’ll explore the different options you have when considering a Corda implementation on Azure with both a DYI approach as well as the recently announced Corda managed platform on Azure (BaaS).
Juarez has +20 years of experience in several IT-related roles throughout his career in Ireland as Principal Developer Advocate in Oracle EMEA and IBM Watson Evangelist & Tech Rockstar for Cloud in IBM Ireland, as well as previous technical and leadership experiences in IBM Brazil, Unisys, and Accenture. He is an expert in cloud computing, containers and Kubernetes, Blockchain (Hyperledger, Ethereum), the Java language and its platforms (Java SE, EE, Embedded), JVMs - Java Virtual Machines, Application Development, Software / Systems / Cloud Architecture, and Mobile Platforms.
- The Quest for Decentralized Digital Identity
Presented by Stefano Tempesta.
Identity is vital for political, economic, and social opportunity. But systems of identification are archaic, insecure, lack adequate privacy protection, and for over a billion people, inaccessible. We all need a new approach to identity, each of us needs a digital identity we own, one which securely and privately stores all elements of our identity. A self-owned identity that seamlessly integrates into our lives and gives us complete control over how our identity data is accessed and used.
This session explores the foundational components of an open, standards-based, decentralized identity ecosystem for people, organizations, apps, and devices without centralized systems of identifiers, but able to verify the claims and assertions of identities for the purpose of establishing trust among entities, and its implementation on the Azure cloud.
Stefano Tempesta is a Microsoft Regional Director, MVP on Azure, AI and Business Applications, and co-founder and Executive Director of 365 Community, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower communities around the world with better ICT processes for customer relationship management (CRM) and customer service, using modern technology.
A technology manager with 20 years of international experience, entrepreneur CTO and advisor for start-ups in Australia, Singapore and Switzerland, Stefano is an author, a public speaker, a blogger, an event organizer and an ambassador of beautiful software. His interests extend to microservice architectures, blockchain, IoT and A.I. related technologies.
In the short break between these interesting speeches we will have the opportunity to entertain and get to know each other a little better, enjoying the apero kindly offered by Digicomp.
Cannot wait to meet you all!
The event is free of charge and held in English.
Please reserve a seat and cancel if you cannot make it. Thank you!
