We are pleased and honoured to host the 'Blockchain Startup Pitches' event at our meetup.

Decentralization, blockchain, distributed ledgers, and crypto assets are all over the tech news. Meetings and conferences in New York and Hong Kong make us forget easily how decentralized the future of technology is. After all, great innovations can happen anywhere! This event brings together the Zurich blockchain community and those interested in the topic. 2-3 Blockchain startups from Zurich will give short presentations about their vision for the future - followed by drinks and a get-together.

SPEAKERS
Here is the current line-up of the upcoming speakers:

(1) David Geisser, Founder and CEO, CollectID (https://collectid.io)
David holds a Master’s degree in Business Innovation from the University of St. Gallen, where he did a one year program in Design Thinking in collaboration with Stanford University. As part of the program, he developed an MVP for a Swiss-based retail bank. After his studies, David joined Boydak Strategy Consulting where he focused on business model innovation and rapid prototyping. During this time, David led several projects and developed various MVPs for different clients.

(2) Eduardo Salazar, CEO, Forctis AG (https://forctis.io)
An economist engaged in macro-econometrics and applied mathematics, but perhaps more of a technologist on a daily basis, for over 30 years Eduardo has followed a career path involving broadly engaging, cross-disciplinary environments. His experience spans both academia and the private sector, as well as work for multilateral organizations such as the World Bank and the IADB.

(3) Nathan Worsley, Co-Founder and CTO, LocalCoinSwap (https://localcoinswap.com/en/)

Nathan Worsley is the Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of LocalCoinSwap. In 2015 he founded the LocalCoinSwap project and was the first developer on the codebase. Although working full time on a technical startup, Nathan's educational background is in Economics and machine learning. Nathan has a passion for using Blockchain as a tool for promoting financial inclusivity. This passion has driven the LocalCoinSwap project to adapt and pivot in the ever-changing regulatory environment to ensure that people from all walks of life have equal access to the world of crypto.
