Speaker Bio
Anaïs is a Developer Advocate at Aqua Security, where she contributes to Aqua’s cloud native open source projects. When she is not advocating DevOps best practices, she runs her own YouTube Channel centered around cloud native technologies. Before joining Aqua, Anais worked as SRE at Civo, a cloud native service provider, where she helped enhance the infrastructure for hundreds of tenant clusters. Talk outline
Let’s assume you are following best practices for Container and Kubernetes Security. You are making sure that cluster access is restricted, your network is behind a firewall, your nodes and workloads are isolated. You are doing all the right things but how do you know that your workloads and Kubernetes cluster are not becoming less secure over time? This is why we need to use security scanning tools.
In this talk, we will look at Trivy and Starboard to gain insights into the security of our workloads and of our Kubernetes cluster. Anais will showcase the steps you can take to enhance security at all stages of our deployments; from scanning our container images and configuration files for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations to continuously scanning our Kubernetes cluster.
