Check for more info on Azure Open Source Day.

The sessions:
"My take aways from Azure Open Source Day." by Bastiaan Wassenaar
I will attend the Open Source day and write down the things that were of interest for me and share that with you.

"Standing on shoulders of giant - Building services with open source projects." by Roberth Strand
When we are building services and products, we don't start from scratch. We reuse code that others have written in forms of packages, modules, and applications. How did we find the correct projects to use, how we secure it, and how do we support these community-driven endeavors?

"Exploring chaos engineering…the FUN way!" by Kristina Devochko
In this session we will find out what chaos engineering is, what it's purpose is and how we can use it to test and strengthen resilience and availability of our systems and applications. As part of the session we'll take to the test the serious, enterprise-grade chaos engineering tools like Azure Chaos Studio, but also the fun, gamified chaos engineering tools like KubeInvaders, that were created by the open source community.

"Kubernetes as the OS for your applications" by Sven Malvik
In this session, I want to show you how we at Vipps MobilePay are deploying our applications and Azure resources -those that share the applications' lifecycle- to Kubernetes. It's an interesting topic as it almost entirely relies on the idea of (ab)using Kubernetes as an operating system for applications. So, the question at the end might be how far we should go and let k8s be in control; hopefully we can have a short discussion about that at the end of the session.

Microsoft Teams link to join virtually (though we strongly recommend you to come and meet OSS community in person!): https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_YTczMjExM2YtY2FhNi00NWZkLWFlOTgtMTNmMTRkMDMwMTlm%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2272f988bf-86f1-41af-91ab-2d7cd011db47%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22885a7f1b-42ec-40c2-8e47-66e61540a314%22%7d
