Azure Network: Choosing the Right Connectivity Architecture for Your Cloud
Details
Azure offers a vast array of networking services — from Virtual Networks to Private Links, ExpressRoute, and the new Virtual WAN architecture — but with so many choices, designing the right topology can be daunting. In this session, we’ll break down the Azure networking stack and help you understand what to use, when, and why.
You’ll learn how to:
- Map Azure networking fundamentals — VNets, subnets, NSGs, and routing — into scalable architectures.
- Compare key Azure connectivity options: VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and Azure Virtual WAN, including performance, cost, and reliability trade-offs.
- Secure and segment traffic with Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, and Private Link.
- Integrate hybrid environments by connecting on-premises and multi-cloud resources through ExpressRoute and site-to-site VPNs.
- Design for scale and governance, using Azure Policy, Bicep, and ARM templates to enforce consistent network configuration.
