Join the Azure User Group South Africa for an in-person community event at the Cyberlogic office in Stellenbosch.
This session is built around practical AI development, Microsoft Copilot, agentic technologies, community discussion and shared experience. The format will be deliberately informal and interactive, with space for questions, debate and knowledge sharing rather than a series of one-way presentations.

AI is no longer only helping developers write code. It is beginning to participate in the development process as a collaborator, reviewer, researcher, troubleshooter and increasingly as an agent capable of completing multi-step tasks.
In this practical and conversational session, Nicolas and Stefan will explore what happens when AI becomes part of the delivery team.
The discussion will cover:

• How engineers and developers are using AI today
• The difference between copilots, coding assistants and agents
• Where AI genuinely improves development work
• Where it creates new problems, risks and arguments
• How human roles change when AI can write, review and execute code
• What teams are learning from real-world adoption
• Why judgement, context and engineering discipline still matter

This will not be a polished “AI solves everything” presentation. Expect practical examples, lessons learned, disagreement and a few stories about what happens when the new developer on the team is not human.

17:15–17:45 - Community Q&A and Knowledge Sharing
This part of the event belongs to the community.
Bring your questions, examples, experiments, concerns and lessons learned. Attendees will be encouraged to share what they are building, which tools they are using, what is working and where AI-assisted development is still falling short.

17:45–18:00 — Closing remarks and informal networking
