CNUG+AZUG Night - two talks - OpenAI/Semantic Kernel & Green Super Computer

Details

Hosting
In collaboration with CNUG (Copenhagen .NET User Group) we invite You to a night of hearing about combining tech and environmental focus.

Presentations
Presentations will be done in English and will NOT be available online.

1. Building a green supercomputer in the cloud
A case study implementing a carbon aware high-performance compute (HPC) cluster running wind turbine simulations for Vestas.

Using the principals of green software and cloud scalability to design a solution that can scale to 400k cores and multiple petabytes of data. Using open-source tools, UX, and data to lower carbon emissions.

Objectives
- Explain the principals of green software
- Apply best practices and tools to reduce carbon reductions
- Illustrate the financial impact of carbon emission reductions to the business
- Select areas with large carbon impact

2. Unlock Semantic Kernel and Real-Time Capabilities in Your CoPilot
Move beyond embedding and search methods in Copilot development by utilizing Semantic Kernel and plugins that can connect to real-time data. In this session, we'll cover how to enhance your Copilot with dynamic data analysis capabilities, focusing on the integration of Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services through plugins. We will also explore the kernel orchestration and how it executes under the hood. The outcome of the session is for you to have an initial understanding of how to get started with Semantic Kernel using .NET in your solution.

Agenda

  • 17:00 Welcome by CNUG/AZUG
  • 17:10 Building a green supercomputer in the cloud.
  • 18:10 Networking including drinks and food (30 min)
  • 19.00 Unlock Semantic Kernel and Real-Time Capabilities in Your CoPilot

Venue
The event will be held at Microsoft. The nearest Station is Lyngby St., followed by a 7-minute walk. Microsoft has a few free parking spots under the building, however the reception closes at 17:00 sharp. To get free parking, you need to register in the reception before that.
