This talk will give an overview of the Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) product. The presentation will cover the need for Azure WAF, Azure WAF’s capabilities and recently introduced features.

** Sowmya will be presenting remotely from her office in Seattle.

Sowmya Mahadevaiah is a Senior Product Manager in the Azure Web Application Firewall division at Microsoft. She has also worked in Microsoft’s Cloud Security division for nine years leading various security initiatives in the cloud including threat intelligence, SDL, and Security Assurance. She has twenty-three years of industry experience in Cloud security, Network security and Application security. Previously, she worked as a Network Engineer at Cisco Systems where she was instrumental in architecting and deploying Cisco’s security products.
