Heckscher Park in Huntington

Welcome new members

We'll be walking up the very popular Main St. in Huntington, and into Heckscher Park. This walk is about 3 miles and it will take us around the lake in the towns Heckscher (historical) Park (not Heckscher State Park).

Meeting place>
Our meeting place will be adjacent to the parking lot behind Citibank (Corner of Woodbury Rd. & Main St.) in Huntington Village. I'll be there at 12:15 PM to greet attending members. The walk will start at 12:30--Lee

Directions from Nassau > Route 135 going north to Jericho Tpke East. Go left on Woodbury Rd. Follow signs to Huntington. Cross Main St. and Park behind bank.

From Suffolk> Northern State Pkwy. to Sunken Meadow Pkwy. N. Get off at 25A going west. It becomes E.Main St. in Huntington. Continue to Woodbury Rd. Turn right. Park behind bank.

Alternate route>Take L.I.E (west from Suffolk, east from Nassau) to route 110 north (exit 49N). Take it all the way to Main St. (25A). Make a left to Woodbury Rd. Turn right and park behind bank.
