The walk will take us along Manhasset Bay, then around Mill Pond and Baxter Pond. The route will also take us down by the town dock and past the famous Louis Oyster Bar. This walking event will have a limited attendance due to its residential nature. The distance will be about 3 miles on mostly level pavement, some small hills involved. Our Sunday afternoon walk through the quaint old village of Port Washington will begin in the the municipal parking lot on Shore Rd. one block north of Main St. I'll be there at 12:45pm to greet attending members, the walk will start at 1.
Directions> Long Island Expressway to Exit 36 - Searingtown Rd. North. Searingtown Rd. becomes Port Washington Blvd. Travel about 4 miles and make a left on Main St. Take Main St. to Shore Rd. and make a right. Municipal parking on left side of Shore Rd. No meters on weekends.
