Build Pipelines for Unity Development
Details
Hi BUG! This month we're bringing a much-requested panel session on build pipelines for Unity development! Bringing together many combined years of expertise, we have four panelists who will be sharing thoughts and best practices when it comes to automating and streamlining the build process for your Unity projects.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Michael Carriere
Michael Carriere is the Creative Director at Zapdot, and has been bearding at a level beyond his years for several decades now. In addition to facilitating a fanciful focus on his facial follicles, he frequently fawns over the ability to feasibly provide frequent builds to his team. While it wasn’t love at first sight; he developed a working relationship with Jenkins and the two have been providing multiplatform releases and integration feedback to the team for several titles.
Scott Doxey
Scott Doxey is a lead web developer at Tangle (previously called absurd:joy) working on the remote collaboration app Tangle in Unity. Scott has extensive experience building packages for use with the Unity Package Manager, both for open source and client work. Scott is also a big advocate of continuous integration via GitHub Actions. He has previously worked on a multi-platform VR medical application, and a Geolocation powered AR application.
Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs is a Software Engineer at Cantina Consulting with a focus on building web and Unity apps for a variety of clients. Starting his career as a QA Engineer, Josh has considerable experience building out E2E automations for a multitude of platforms. As of late, Josh has been optimizing his own nightly build process, pushing directly to Steam using Game CI via Github Actions. He's currently prototyping bullet patterns for his shoot em' up, Super Crome, ensuring they're just frustrating enough to play.
Kevin Kohler
Kevin began his Game Development journey making QBasic games in middle school. After going to grad school for Computer Science he helped start HitPoint Studios as their first engineer. At HitPoint Kevin was lead engineer on many social and mobile titles for big names like Disney and Microsoft. He is currently a Senior Engineering Manager at Demiurge Studios where he has worked on games for Riot and Blizzard.
