We’ll look at ways we can structure our css to better align with object oriented principles. In the end, the goal is to end up writing less duplicated CSS, have an easier to maintain codebase, and create styles that are scalable and extendable. Our examples will go hand-in-hand with learning to use Sass to write CSS more efficiently.

In many of our examples we’ll use Codepen.io (http://codepen.io) so you can have a resource to refer back to. Codepen accounts are free and I highly encourage signing up! If you’ve used jsfiddle before, it’s a lot like that but supercharged for more front-end goodness. Codepen will also allow you to play around with writing Sass before taking the plunge and installing it on your computer.

Meetings start at 6:00 PM @ Gravity Works Design & Development (https://www.meetup.com/lansingweb/venue/1552828/?forceUrlname=true&pop=true)

Thank you!
