Current research at the University of Massachusetts found out, that training a single AI model can emit as much carbon as five cars in their entire lifetime. In these rising times of more and more AI in our everyday life it is often forgotten, how big the impact of this technology can be on global warming. In this event, we will discuss why exactly Artificial Intelligence is causing so much emissions and what we can do to reduce it.
