Hacking on: Building a console app in Haskell

Details

Let's continue our exploration of building cat in Haskell. We will start with
https://github.com/hackeryarn/hcat and slowly build up features.

If you attended the June meetup, this will be a deep dive into the specifics.
This is a great opportunity to get your lingering questions answered.

If you did not, don't worry. Come ready to learn and code - no matter how well you
know Haskell. We will work together to answer your questions and make sure you
can keep up.

We will cover:

  • Getting the project setup and running.
  • Exploring the settings used in the project.
  • Breaking down the current code (possibly going to an earlier version).
  • Learn about using ReaderT to pass around environment or other read only parameters.
  • Add cli argument parsing.
  • Add pagination.
  • Add any other features we may think of.
