Floating down the Edisto River from Givhan's Ferry County Park

Let's take a break from paddling and biking to go floating down the Edisto River. We will leave from Givhan's Ferry kayak launch and float to T.W. Messervy Boat Landing on Boat Landing Road. Please note that the float can take anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on the speed of the river. Once you start you are at the river's mercy. Please keep that in mind. Bring food and drink with you as it will be a party on the water! Alcohol is not allowed in the park however it is allowed on the water so no drinking before we set sail. Reminder... it is a county park so there is a $6 fee per person to enter the park. All guests/kids are welcome.
You are required to bring your own float. Here is an option...

We will have a couple people drop cars at the 'end' location to take all drivers to pick up their cars. Those left behind will work on deflating everyone's tubes.
We will meet at Givhan's Ferry County Park parking lot to coordinate blowing up our tubes and dropping cars. The non-car droppers will take all tubes/coolers etc to the kayak launch and wait for the car droppers before starting the float.
AFTER YOU ARRIVE TO GIVHENS FERRY, HEAD TO THE FLOATER'S PARKING LOT (THERE IS A SIGN), PARK AND BLOW UP YOUR TUBE. LOOK FOR A 'RED' SIGN THAT SAYS 'SUP' IN BLACK LETTERS. I WILL POST THIS BY MY CAR. COME FOR A PRE-FLOAT MEETING AT 10AM WHERE WE WILL ORGANIZE DROPPING CARS AT THE TAKEOUT POINT AND MEETING AT THE RIVER. YOUR TUBE SHOULD BE BLOWN UP AND READY TO GO AT THIS POINT. IF YOU NEED HELP BLOWING UP YOUR TUBE, ASK TO USE SOMEONES. I WILL HAVE ONE AS WELL.
Excessive drinking (the alcoholic kind) will not be tolerated. If you are a driver your keys will be taken, and you will be sent via Uber or with another driver if they are kind enough to take you. This is non-negotiable.
