Interesting web services include OpenCalais, from Thomson Reuters (https://www.opencalais... (https://www.opencalais.com)), the Zemanta content-suggestion engine, (https://www.zemanta.co... (https://www.zemanta.com/)), AlchemyAPI (at https://alchemyapi.com... (https://alchemyapi.com)), and Google's continuing work on "named entity extraction" (just do a Google search).
