Cthulhu Wars at Bridge & Tunnel

How about some beer and world domination at Bridge and Tunnel? We always have a great time with this game, so let’s do it again!

What is Cthulhu Wars?
It is an asymmetrical strategy/area control game. Players control a faction of one of Lovecraft’s Old Ones - monstrous, immortal entities fighting with one another over the annihilation of a doomed Earth.

We’ll be opening gates to other dimensions, recruiting cultists to spread our message, summoning terrifying creatures from the otherworld, and awakening the Great Old Ones!

The game runs about 2.0 - 3.0 hours, and is pretty easy to pick up once you’ve got a turn or two under your belt.

We’re going to start with a limit of 5 players, to ensure we finish the game in 3 hours. But if we have players who have played before, we’ll consider adding a 6th player.

Is it a complex game? Boardgame Geek users rate it a little more complex than Five Tribes, but not as complex as Robinson Crusoe.

Players are encouraged to watch the "how to play" video prior to the game to minimize the time needed going over the rules prior to play. We still plan to teach the game, but want some general familiarity first.

Cthulhu Wars was a definite success each time it has hit the gaming table. We’ll gladly teach any newcomers, but please make sure you watch the following how to play video:

The Bridge & Tunnel Taproom is a great location, and Dwayne is cool with people bringing in outside food. There are a couple food trucks across the street.
