2013 story review and publish planning

Hello SalaamGarage Seattle amigos!

Happy New Year! I feel as if it's been ages since we met, let's pick back up and make some momentum, shall we?!

Before diving into the meeting agenda I'd like to take a moment to discuss meeting attendance for 2013. Over the last year+ we've had a steadfast group of volunteers devoted to our current project, eager to produce work, take on grunt work and attend meetings—thank you all from the bottom of my shoelaces! We've also been honored to have members contributing to stories without the availability to attend meetings. Believe me, we understand schedule conflicts, that said, this year we need all members to attend the vast majority of meetings. Our conundrum is this: members attending meetings without having a story to or stroy-team to work with (which is what we're all here for, no?) and other members that rarely attend meetings yet have a story under their belt. We're between a rock and a hard place for certain, we love all our volunteers and all the stories we can collect. Nevertheless we must insist, attendance is mandatory. Missing a meeting once in a blue moon is acceptable with advance notice. Thank you for your help and commitment to our meetings, story telling and SG culture, we wouldn't be the same without you!

Okay! on with the agenda!

Let's roll into the new year with stories, drafts, reviews and publishing!

• Let's take stock of what's left to be done on each story in progress and pin down goal completion dates.

• Show and tell the stories we haven't heard yet, and put our heads together on any challenges those stories face.

• Start naming & recording places to send our stories, and a workflow for posting stories to the SG Local website.

• I'd like to take time to ensure we all have a story/team to contribute to.
