Emmett McAuliffe, who assists clients with the protection and exploitation of their intellectual property portfolios.Emmett has filed and prosecuted U.S. and international trademark and copyright applications and has represented IP-based businesses in matters involving asset protection, acquisition, work-for-hire, financing, production, distribution, licensing, and litigation.Emmett is especially active in the fields of Arts & Entertainment and Evolving Media,offering special services to the media, music, film, art, fashion and internet application/software design communities.With professional roots in an intellectual property boutique firm, Emmett is well-equipped to advise and counsel clients on how best to harmonize trademark, copyright and right of publicity to create an effective long-term branding strategy.

Emmett is also a member of Riezman Berger’s Business Transactions group. He is fluent in the terms and deal points of many kinds of contracts and documents and has experience as a lead negotiator for same. He has represented several companies as acting chief general counsel and devised formation strategies for many corporations.He also has significant international litigation, commercial litigation and trial advocacy experience. He has tried hundreds of bench trials and several first-chair jury trials to verdict. He has briefed a case to the United States Supreme Court.

Most recently, Emmett taught intellectual property to third-year law students at Handong International Law Schoolin South Korea. From 2008-2017 he served, at the pleasure of the Governor, on the Missouri Arts Counciland the Missouri Cultural Trust, and presided over the disbursement of tens of millions of dollars in public funding for the arts. In 2007, Emmett was awarded a Gold-record plaque by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for his involvement in an album achieving 500,000 in sales. Also in 2007, Emmett was elected to the Board of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and elected President of the Board of St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (VLAA).

Peter Salsich is an experienced intellectual property attorney whose practice is focused on advising large and small companies and entrepreneurs regarding the creation, protection and use of intellectual property, in both litigation and transactional counseling, particularly in the media, technology and entertainment industries.

Pete is also an experienced General Counsel, who currently serves in that role for Coolfire Studios, LLC (an entertainment content creation studio)and MedAware Solutions, Inc. (a mobile software platform company focused on the healthcare industry).Pete has represented television production companies, independent film projects, digital entertainment companies, musicians, artists, talent,music labels, authors, and independent producers in connection with their business formation, deal structure, network contracts, publishing contracts,rights acquisition, IP licensing, and copyright and trademark protection.

Pete has represented software development companies from formation through Angel and Seed investment to Venture Capital investment,as well as in connection with protection of intellectual property, business structure, software licensing and development contracts, and employment and independent contractor relationships.

Pete is also an experienced intellectual property, entertainment, and trade secret litigator and trial attorney. He has represented comic book authors and publishers, tattoo artists, toy companies, musicians, and artists in infringement, right of publicity, joint authorship, and breach of contract cases,and numerous companies in litigation to protect their trade secrets. In December, Pete joined the Capes Sokol law firm to head up their new Entertainment and Media practice.

The meeting will be held at Spot Content Studio's amazing 20,000-square-foot office, studio, and production facility in South St. Louis. Spot is one of St. Louis' largest, full-service video and digital production companies.
