Enjoy Hawaiian food at The Reef/Pono Grill, and listen/dance to live Blues music

If you have not yet checked out The Reef/Pono Hawaiian Grill, 120 Union St, in downtown SC, then perhaps it's time for a Meetup! I go there every Tuesday to host their Blues Jam from 6:30 - 9:30. I have noticed groups come in to celebrate a birthday, and some networking groups who come in for a drink. The Reef is the bar and Pono makes the food happen. I enjoy their onion rings, their teriyaki beef and also their marinated tofu, among other things. Monday is Jazz night, Wed is open mic night, but I do my best to make Tuesday, Blues Jam Night, a good time. The house band and I play a set of music fro 6:30-7:30, then open it up to musicians who have signed up. We try to keep the quality and energy up and usually folks get up to dance. Then around 9:15, the house band comes back to "take us home". If business is still good we can go later than 9:30, up to around 10. While the music is taking place, there are usually surf videos on the big screen and a sports event at the bar. This is a weekly Tuesday event. It's a pretty big room so should be able to accomodate a Meetup. Note that the parking meters are in effect until 8 and it's 50 cents an hour.
