XR News, Oculus Connect Preview, Start Developing XR Mini-Workshop

This month's Meetup will be held at The Hub Engagement Center in Downtown Santa Cruz! This is our new base of operations generously provided by Underground Engine ( theundergroundvfx.com )
The Underground Engine Collective is a multidisciplinary consortium of artists, scientists and technologists focused on communicating environmental and scientific topics to a wide audience. Keep an eye out for many educational events to come in the near future.

This month we will be exploring new advances in Augmented Reality, creating XR experiences, review the Oculus Connect Conference, plus all the important demos and a VR game Tournament! We will be announcing future Meetups with special guests.

For anyone interested in learning how to create immersive experiences, we will conduct a mini-Workshop on how to start creating AR and VR. This will be an informational session before the general meeting. It will cover the aspects of the development environment needed to get started. We will work on selected topics every week that will culminate into a thing you make! No matter what your discipline or interest, there is a place for you in developing!
