Parenting is hard work. Today’s parents want the best for their child without sacrificing their total life. How do you blend the needs of the developing child with the needs of the parent? This workshop focuses on the development of these 3 elements in the parenting loop for both parent and child:

• Knowledge
• Ego strength
• Resilience

We will examine the joys and the stressors for parenting by personality type. For instance what parenting tasks stress an ISTJ parent, can be very different from what stresses an ENFP parent. Throw the child’s personality type into the play and now you have a complicated arena that requires knowledge, ego strength, and resilience.

Personality type differences in the use and emergence of these elements is a key focal point. Participants will leave with over 50 hints for working with type differences in a family system.

In this workshop, you will learn ways to:
1. Use personality type in daily life with your family members.
2. Recognize type in development vs inappropriate behavior.
3. Use the awareness of type differences to develop resilience in the parent and in the child.
4. Identify ego strength and ways to help manage its development.
