Let's try this trail again in Golden Gate Canyon State Park! An exploratory lollipop hike starting from Aspen Meadow campground for about 5+ miles round trip and ~800+ feet of elevation gain. We'll begin from Aspen Meadow/Riflemen on the Snowshoe Hare Trail to the Buffalo Trail and Enchanted Valley for a total of 5.4 miles and 650 feet of elevation gain. Weather permitting we'll enjoy a snack/lunch at the historic cabin before returning to the parking area.

This is a State Park requiring a daily use fee or the Keep Colorado Wild Pass (car registration).

Dog Free Hike... please leave your baby dogs at home.

What to bring... Check the weather for the hike location and come prepared with appropriate hiking clothing, waterproof boots, hiking poles, microspikes, snowshoes, backpack and food/water. Make sure you have in your pack in case you need it - warm jacket, snow pants, warm hat, extra gloves, extra socks, and extra layers. Make it the best hiking experience possible by being prepared!

Carpooling: Form carpools from your neighborhood and meet at the Aspen Meadow parking area off Gap Road.

Directions to the Trailhead: Take Hwy 72 to Twin Spruce Road, turn left and follow towards the Aspen Meadow Campground. Parking area, can fill up fast because it is located off Gap Road in front of the campground gate.

Bring snacks/ lunch to enjoy on the trail at Enchanted Valley (weather permitting).
