Hike the Blue Grouse Trail to Frazer Meadow

Let's hike out and back on the Blue Grouse Trail for ~5 miles and about 1000 feet of elevation gain! We'll start the hike at the Blue Grouse Trailhead located next to Kriley Pond. Follow the Blue Grouse Trail for 0.7 miles until the fork in the trail at Mule Trail, take a right and travel up a series of switch backs before the trail levels out. We'll stop near Frazer Meadow and find a shady spot for a snack before returning to our cars.
Dog Free Hike...please leave your baby dogs at home for all Baby Home hikes.
Bring snacks, a lunch and drinks to enjoy at Frazer Meadow.
What to bring...Colorado weather changes quickly! Come prepared with appropriate hiking clothing, waterproof boots, hiking poles, microspikes, backpack and snacks, and water. Make sure you gave in your pack in case you need it - personal first aid kit, warm jacket, rain pants, hat, gloves, extra socks, and extra layers, hand warmers, etc. Make it the best experience possible by being prepared!
Direction to Trailhead: From Golden take Hwy 93 to Golden Gate Canyon Road. Follow for 14 miles to Mountain Base Roads, turn right to Blue Grouse Trailhead. Stop at the bathrooms down below the trail near Kriley! Pond. Carpooling always recommended!
