This is a repost of the August 14 hike to Silver Dollar and Murray Lakes as the original post was inadvertently cancelled!
Let's hike Silver Dollar and Murray Lakes on Guanella Pass!
The trail features three lakes: Naylor Lake, Silver Dollar Lake, and Murray Lake, for a total of 4.1 miles in length and a bit over 1,000 ft in elevation gain.
What should you bring...Check the weather at trail location before you leave home and come prepared with appropriate hiking clothing, waterproof boots, hiking poles, microspikes, backpack and snacks, and water. Make sure you have in your pack in case you need it - rain gear, hat, gloves, extra socks, and extra layers, etc. Make it the best experience possible by being prepared!
Dog Free Hikes...Please leave your baby dogs at home for Baby Boomer hikes.
Bring snacks and water to enjoy at Murray Lake.
Carpooling: Form carpools from your neighborhood. Another good place to carpool from is the Wooly Mammoth Park n Ride, Section CC.
Directions: From I-70, take exit 228 towards Georgetown. Veer right at the traffic circle and follow Argentine Street to Sixth Street. Turn right on Rose Street and follow to Guanella Pass Road for 8 miles to Naylor Lake Road. Turn right and follow road to Silver Dollar Lake parking.
