Hike Acorn Creek Loop in Silverthorne

Details

Acorn Creek Loop is a moderately difficult 5 miles and 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Aspen, maybe some lingering wildflowers and mountain views of the Gore Range! Come prepared with GPS for Acorn Creek Loop (e.g., All Trails)

Group size limit is 15 so we'll have two groups hiking in opposite directions.

Dog Free Hikes...Please leave your baby dogs at home for Baby Boomer hikes.

Directions to Trailhead: From Denver drive I-70 West to the Silverthorne exit 205. Head North on Hwy 9 for about 10 miles. Turn right onto Ute Park Road at the sign for Acorn Creek. Head up the good dirt road for just a few minutes following signs to the Acorn Creek Trailhead.

What should you bring...Check the weather at trail location before you leave home and come prepared with appropriate hiking clothing, waterproof boots, hiking poles, microspikes, backpack and snacks, and water. Make sure you have in your pack in case you need it - rain gear, hat, gloves, extra socks, and extra layers, etc. Make it the best experience possible by being prepared!

Carpooling: Arrange your own carpool from your neighborhood or plan to carpool from Wooly Mammoth.
