The Caribou Ranch Open Space Park is located between Nederland and the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. This is an easy 5 mile hike, 330' elevation gain. We’ll hike to the Delonde Ranch, used in the movie Stagecoach, then to the Bluebird Mine Complex to see the old mining buildings. The trail is mostly wide, flat to the DeLonde Ranch then gets a bit rocky from the ranch to the mine. It’s wide and rock-free from the mine back to the trailhead.
