Details
Join us for a program that will feature what is generally thought to be Bach's earliest surviving cantata, an early Weimar work with a long tail, and a large cantata from the mature Leipzig period. This will allow us to examine the progression of Bach's composing style over a period of 20 years, while treating us to three wonderful opening sinfonias, two early yet sophisticated ostinato movements, an amazing piece of musical parody, and some truly magnificent choruses and arias. This will be a slightly longer program, lasting 2.5 hours.
