Third and Fourth Sundays after Trinity: Cantatas 21, 185, and 24

Cantata 21 is generally considered one of the most important pre-Leipzig cantatas, on account not only of this scale, but also of the range of emotions it evokes--from deepest despair to unbounded glory. Cantatas 24 and 185, both on a smaller scale, teach compassion and what it means to be a Christian.
