Come celebrate the gift of SEEDS and learn about WINTER SOWING with Dirty Gaia & the Morton Seed Library.

February 21, 3–5 pm, at the Morton Memorial Library, Rhinecliff, NY

Join us to receive a gift of seeds, share your own, and connect with neighbors and growers. While you might see a frozen tundra out your window, it's the perfect time to gather and even start some seeds. Spring will be here before you know it! (Fingers crossed!)

If you’re ready to get your hands in the dirt now, step up to our Winter Sowing Station, where we’ll show you how to make mini greenhouses from recycled plastic jugs. All you need to do is plant some seeds in a clear jug, place it in a sunny outdoor spot, and let Mother Nature do the rest. This tried-and-true method produces hardy seedlings that can be transplanted when the weather warms, or delicious microgreens in the cold!

If you’ve got seeds to share, please bring them and tell us about them! If not, we’ll have plenty of seeds, soil, and supplies.

Free & open to all. Just bring your enthusiasm and – if you have them – some seeds to share, along with an empty, clean, transparent 1-gallon jug or two.
