We will take you to one of the most beautiful high mountain areas in the world, staying right at the foot of the Mont-Blanc massif. The hiking here is world class with Alpine scenery that seduces the senses and elevates the spirit!
These are mountain landscapes on a colossal scale and Mont-Blanc is the highest peak in Europe. An area of glaciers, icy lakes, remote mountain passes, high meadows and sun-dappled forests.

Although best known for skiing, the Chamonix region is a playground for hikers and this is a perfect time to go when the weather is generally settled and the winter snows are still many weeks away. We are spoiled for choice here as the Alps can offer epic challenges or quiet exhilaration. No words can really do these mountains justice!

This is also a wonderful part of France for delicious Alpine cuisine. We will actually be staying very near to Switzerland and it is easy enough to pop across the border not only for hikes but also for a bit of traditional Swiss fare. Local people are of course very proud of their fine AOC (Apellation d'Origine Contrôlée) cheeses produced here.
There is also simply just so much superb hiking options and the networks of trails are endless. We could keep busy exploring for many, many weeks if only we had the time!

This trip does not involve technical mountaineering nor the ascent to the summit of Mont-Blanc. The hikes though will be quite challenging so you need to have a reasonable level of hiking fitness.

VISA: Please check with the French & Swiss embassies if you need a visa to travel there. France is within the Shengen zone. It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary documents, including visa.
INSURANCE: You will need to have travel insurance and provide details before travel. It is strongly recommended to have this in place at the time of paying for this holiday or the flight.
It is also essential that you take out travel insurance that covers hiking activities up to 4000 meters.
