On this trip we are aiming to take on some classic Scottish routes across 3 hiking days, for the hikes with exposed ridges we will need a low wind and rain weather forecast.

Ring of Steall - 10 miles, 1700m ascent. This thrilling circuit taking in 4 Munros is often touted as one of the best mountain days in Scotland. It is about as tough as 10 miles can get and often takes hillwalkers over 10 hours to complete. The ridge paths have lots of exposure, lots of up and down as well as some rocky scrambles, one section is ominously named The Devils Ridge.

The Eastern Mamores - 11 Miles, 2000m Ascent. This is another brilliant loop taking in 4 Munros, starting from Kinlochleven on the opposite side of the range to the Ring of Steall. There isn't any scrambling on this route, it's mostly on good paths and grass covered crests but non the less it is still an exhausting day.

For our third hiking day we have many options; head up to bag the final 2 Munros in the Mamores or choose something lower down if we aren't lucky enough to get 3 days of mountain appropriate weather. There are lots of lower routes with Glen Coe, Glen Etive and Glen nevis all nearby.
