Join us for a fantastic long weekend exploring the sea cliffs, coves and fishing villages of the Yorkshire Coast. Backabush is planning a 3 night trip with a group of 18 people to enjoy the best hikes in this picturesque part of The North.

Cost:
Shared Twin Room: £339
Single Occupancy: £425

There are so many reasons to visit this part of the world, here are some of the highlights we hope to include:

Bempton Cliffs RSBP Reserve & Flamborough head - Gannets, Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwakes crowd over 3 miles of chalk cliffs at this important seabird nesting site. A tour of the craggy chalk formations at Flamborough head completes a very rewarding day hike.

Robin Hood's Bay, Boggle Hole & Ravenscar - This is often touted as the most beautiful part of the Cleveland Way long distance trail. Robin Hood's Bay is famous as a smuggler's haven with a maze of steep cobbled streets. Further down the coast a wooded inlet is named after the mythical goblin like 'Boggles' that live there.

Whitby & Staithes - Two coastal villages, bursting with maritime character and history, linked by a gorgeous clifftop stroll. The dramatic Abbey ruins overlook the town of Whitby, being known as inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Difficulty - Hikes on this trip will be between 9 and 12 miles in length, mostly on good footpaths at a moderate pace. There will be some steeper sections and undulations around the coast but these will be brief. Expected ascent will be less than 500m each day.

Accommodation:
We'll be based for three nights in a modern hotel, 100 metres from the beach with a great on site bar, lounge room and restaurant in Scarborough, giving us easy access to the region's finest walks. A buffet breakfast is included each morning, while evenings are left free for you to choose from the town's excellent selection of pubs and restaurants. For those that like to dine as a group we will help coordinate some group dinner reservations.

Arrival and departure times:
We will be meeting at our hotel in Scarborough from 4pm on Thursday 5th August, arrive anytime and meet us for drinks and dinner.
