We’ll hear from Matic Žgur, Staff Engineer at Teads, and Teodor Podobnik, SRE at Prewave, as they dive into two interesting backend topics:

• Scaling to 8 Million RPS by Matic Žgur

• Tips, tricks, and challenges that come with scaling a backend system to more than 8 million requests per second.

• Runtime Security in GitHub Actions using eBPF by Teodor Podobnik

• This talk shows how eBPF can be used to enforce runtime security in GitHub Actions by restricting network egress. We’ll explore how to observe and control outbound connections during CI/CD runs, reducing the risk of data exfiltration and supply chain attacks.
