This Double Elimination Backgammon Tournament ensures that players have a second chance to compete even after an initial loss. Players must lose **two matches** before being eliminated. The tournament continues until a single undefeated champion remains or a final match determines the winner between the last two competitors.

Tournament Structure
1. Format:
- **Double Elimination**: Players move to the **losers’ bracket** after their first loss.
- A second loss in the **losers’ bracket** eliminates the player.
- The **winners’ bracket** and **losers’ bracket** run simultaneously.
- The final match may include a **"if necessary" game** if the winners’ bracket champion loses to the losers’ bracket champion.
2. Match Rules:
- Each match is played as a **best-of-X** (e.g., best of 3, best of 5, or best of 7 points).
- Standard backgammon rules apply (including doubling cube, Crawford rule if applicable).
- Dice must be rolled properly (cocked dice are re-rolled).
3. Seeding & Pairings:
- Random or seeded based on player ratings (if available).
- Early rounds follow a standard bracket structure.
- Losers’ bracket pairings depend on winners’ bracket results.
4. Finals:
- The **winners’ bracket champion** advances directly to the Grand Final.
- The **losers’ bracket champion** must defeat the winners’ bracket champion **twice** to win the tournament (if coming from the losers’ bracket).

- Players must make moves within a reasonable time (e.g., 2 minutes per move, or chess clock rules).
- Excessive delays may result in a warning or forfeit.
2. Disputes & Sportsmanship:
- Any disputes should be resolved by the tournament director.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g., stalling, rude behavior) may lead to disqualification.
3. Prizes (if applicable):
- Prizes are distributed to the top finishers (e.g., 1st, 2nd, 3rd).
- Final Payout structure should be announced before the tournament begins.
