Vancouver Ambulant Double Elimination Tournament

Ambulant Tournament is a style of very flexible playing location and time. This is most suitable for busy people who can not join the specific fixed time and location tournaments.

This is a public event with no entry $ although any player can enjoy the first three top winners' prizes by registering as a Premium Member for $45 to benefit from up to 3 tournaments.

There are 3 options. The first is fully free without prizes. 2nd option is $45 for up to 3 events per month (each costs $15) with prizes and other premium members benefits. The last option is $30 for anyone who wants prizes but has not been a premium member.

This is how it works. When each round starts, both players have 72 hours to arrange and play their match. It needs to be played in a public venue like a cafe or library or restaurant both agree. They will announce their match location and time to the event chatroom so anyone who likes to join and watch their match can enjoy joining them there. If for any reason both players agree to play online they can announce it in the event's chatroom 24 hours before they play.

Following the match, they need to take a photo showing them and the location they have played plus the final results, and send them to the event chatroom.

Matches are 9 points modern backgammon with doubling cube in a double elimination full bracket format.

The tournament starts on February 1, 2023 everyone can enjoy registering before that day.
