Buffalo National River | 3days-2nights | Canoe/kayak Camping

Details

• BUFFALO NATIONAL RIVER • Launch at Ponca, take out at Pruitt Landing • 25miles

==INTRO==
Buffalo National River has been on TOP of my bucket list for a while, and I'm sure it is the same for a lot of our members on here as well. This is America's First National River. Its beauty and pristineness make it really popular.

==WHEN==

  • Leave Friday morning, arrive Friday noon, rent canoe and paddle along the river.
  • We will camp along the shore at night.
  • 3 days paddling, 2 nights camping.
  • Head home Sunday afternoon.

==RESERVATIONS==

==BRING==

  • This is a 3 DAYS trip so bring enough to last 3 days!
  • While sharing is encouraged, you are only required to bring what you need for yourself (camping equip., IE: chair, food, camp stove, tent, etc) as others may not bring excess provisions. If you would like to bring community foods for everyone, this is quite welcome.
  • Dry bag is recommended to keep your gear dry.
  • The river is HAMMOCK friendly. There's also campsite so tent will work too.
  • Pretty much camping stuff that you normally need.

==WHERE==

  • First, we will meetup somewhere in Dallas as a group before heading out so everyone can have a chance to introduce each other and figure out carpool situation (carpooling is highly encouraged because of environment, gas, road trip shenanigans...)
  • When we get there, we will meet up again at one of the offices at the park so we can start paddling in TOGETHER.

==MAPS and STUFF==

Some videos for refrence:

  • Carpooling is encouraged! Also I can fit 2-3 people in my car *
