Looking for a last-minute epic adventure?

Come hike the Timberline Trail around the base of Mt. Hood in Oregon with me!

The Timberline Trail (#600) is an iconic 41.5-mile loop that completely circumnavigates Mount Hood in Oregon. Featuring roughly 10,000+ feet of grueling elevation gain and loss, the trail plunges down into massive glacial-carved canyons and climbs right back out of them. It offers unprecedented views of the Cascades, majestic old-growth forests, and fields of summer wildflowers.

Fast Facts & Logistics

  • Distance: ~41.5 miles.
  • Time to Complete: 3 to 4 days is standard. I plan to take 4-5 days.
  • Difficulty: Strenuous. Expect steep climbs, loose ash, downed tree blowdowns, and river fording.
  • Permits: Free, self-issued wilderness permits are required (available at the trailheads).

The Plan:
I plan to fly into Portlans, OR Friday night, July 31. I will be at the Timberline Lodge Trailhead no later than 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1. I will then spend the next 4-5 days hiking the trail, then returning to Portland to spend a few days exploring the area. There is no cost to join this trip. There are no paid permits for this trail. Your expenses will be for travel and any lodging before and after the hike.

If you'd like to go, please join the waitlist and reach out to me for more information about logistics, and the hike. You can message me through Meetup, but my preference is that you call or text me directly at 931-267-9378.
