PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY.

  1. This is a 3 day/2 night ~30miles, ~5,400 ft vertical backpacking trip.
  2. You must be an experienced backpacker to join and be fit, able to maintain a pace of 2.5 miles/hour on a flat trail with a loaded backpack.
  3. Itenerary -
  4. Day 1 - After leaving a car at the endpoint, drive over to Toulemne Meadows where we will start the hike by heading south on Rafferty Creek Trail. At 7 miles in, we will pass Vogelsang High Sierra Camp and continue south west to Emeric Lake to camp for the night. ~10 miles and 1,500 of climbing.
  5. Day 2 - Descend about 5 miles to Merced Lake and then start the gradual climb west then north up to Echo Lake, ~13 miles and 2,500 vertical.
  6. Day 3 - Continue north to the Cathedral Lakes and back to the road. ~6 miles and ~1,400 vertical.

  8. I plan to stop at all the lakes on the trail for a dip/swim.
  9. RSVPs are locked by default. Email me first - reachdani @ gmail.com to coordinate a call to discuss the trip in detail. Please include your phone number and times that work for you for a call.
  10. COST: There is a $100 deposit for this trip. You will get $90 back if you make the trip.
  11. RSVP'ing does not guarantee participation, payment does (after phone conversation).

  13. Details re equipment, carpooling etc. will be discussed on a mandatory pre-trip conference call.
  14. Please do not RSVP before we speak and the deposit is paid.
  15. You are responsible for your own transportation. Carpooling is optional but we will need at least 2 cars to do this itenerary.
  16. I (Daniel Shefer) reserve the sole right to modify the trip itinerary as I deem necessary at any time. If I cancel the trip, you will get a full refund.
  17. Bear canisters are required on this trail. No pets allowed.
  18. A minimum of 3 participants is required for this trip.
