Backpacking or Hiking - Handsome Lake CG via Tracy Ridge (Beginner) - 6.3 miles

Please join me on an easy overnighter or day hike to Handsome Lake Campground in Allegheny National Forest. It's a 3.15-mile hike from the parking lot to the campground. I'm hoping most of the trees will be showing their fall colors. Expect cooler temperatures as this hike is planned for mid-October and we will be camping near the lake.
This trek is considered beginner-level, so everyone should have a good time regardless of experience level.

The campground is self-pay $12 (cash only) per night, per site. We can fit multiple tents at each site, so plan to pay less than that.
Plan to park at the trailhead. GPS Coordinates: 41.89793, -78.89917. Here is the parking spot on Google Maps. Given this is a short hike, no reason to get there too early. I was thinking we might hit the trail around 11am on Saturday. But the start time can be changed if needed. Even with a late start, we will get to camp with plenty of daylight to play, relax, cook, fish, or do whatever you love doing in the outdoors.
