MotoGP is a mainstream championship in Spain and in many other countries in the world. Books on the series have explored the history, the icons, the technology but not many have taken the fan or follower directly into the paddock and all the personalities, engineering and psychology that goes with a motorcycle sport pushing at 225mph.

Author Adam Wheeler will chat about how and why he wanted to present this enthralling spectacle to wider consciousness with some other journalists.

## About the speaker:

Adam Wheeler is an award-winning journalist who contributes to the Telegraph, edits and owns On-Track Off-Road magazine, and is part of the Paddock Pass Podcast team. He has been working in and around MotoGP for over twenty years. He lives in Barcelona.

## About the book:

Motorcycle Grand Prix takes readers inside the 75-year-old FIM World Championship — not through race results and lap times, but through the human stories behind them. Each chapter tackles a separate subject, moving from riders and team managers to mechanics, doctors, physiotherapists and engineers, stitching individual perspectives into a bigger picture of what it actually takes to compete at this level.

Drawing on exclusive interviews with Pecco Bagnaia, Jorge Martín, Brad Binder and Jack Miller, as well as reflections on Valentino Rossi, Marc Márquez and Cal Crutchlow, Wheeler goes well beyond the paddock gossip. The book covers talent, obsession, injury, and the extraordinary technical arms race between manufacturers — with none of the glamour and all of the reality.
