Bad Chess Night Debuts! Free Play, Lessons, Speed Chess with Prizes

Details

Love to play online chess but lack IRL opponents? Curious about the game but don't want to be embarrased by a kid? Are you a current or returning tournament player? Or are you a chess parent that wants to keep up and connect with their kids?

Then swing by our Bad Chess Club, which provides a non-intimidating, friendly environment to exercise your brain with local adults (19+) of all levels.

Pickleball of the Mind: there is open play, lessons for novices, and casual tournaments ranging from blitz to bughouse to Chess960, all with small cash prizes.

5:30 - 6:30 PM - free play, beginner lessons, registration
6:30 - 8:30 PM - 4-round unrated rapid chess tournament (Game/10, 2 sec delay) with cash prizes in both the Experts and Novices divisions

Free entry! For the entire month of June, thanks to our sponsor, Ava Community Energy

Who We Are: Emerald Hills Chess is a Dublin non-profit whose mission is to create community and camaraderie through healthy competition. We teach chess to 300+ kids and also hold USCF-rated tournaments that draw 100-150 players each month.
