Spaceballs (MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU VIRTUAL WATCH PARTY)

This movie will be streamed on Prime Video within our private Discord server, and the link to the server will be shared in the Zoom call. You are not required, however, to join the server. You can watch along with us on your own device.

May the 4th presents the perfect opportunity to have a Star Wars-related watch party, and while there are canoncial Star Wars films/TV specials that might be a better fit for a "Bad Movie Night", I figured we could watch something more intentionally humurous (and really wouldn't require much knowledge of the Star Wars franchise to understand).

Thus, we have Spaceballs, co-written, produced, and directed by the legendary Mel Brooks, which aims to parody the original Star Wars trilogy, alongside other popular film franchises.

It technically fits the criteria for a "Bad Movie Night" as (1) it's considered weaker than Brooks's other works, and (2) it won the 1987 Stinkers Bad Movie Awards for Worst Picture.

With that being said, why don't we give this a go?
