Cool World (IN-PERSON DISCUSSION GROUP)

Details
*THIS IS A LOCAL, IN-PERSON MEETING IN THE RALEIGH, NC AREA AND IS NOT A WATCH PARTY*
In 1988, Who Framed Roger Rabbit revolutionized the live-action/animated hybrid as a highly successful and critically acclaimed feature film, and four years later, Ralph Bakshi aimed to create his own approach to this genre with Cool World.
With a troubled and tumultous production, this PG-13 film did not reach the commercial or critical success of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but as the years have gone by and we've seen more live-action/animated hybrids such as Space Jam and Garfield: The Movie, could it be time to reappraise Cool World as an underrated gem? Let's discuss!
I'll try to secure us a table on the top floor outside at Boxyard RTP, but if the weather doesn't look too good, I may move the disucssion to a nearby coffee shop. Also, we'll set aside the first 20 minutes or so for folks to order food/drinks before we get to the disucssion.
